Why More Couples Are Coming to Tampa Bay for Wellness-Inspired Wedding Weekends

Claudia Mitchell-McLeod • July 17, 2025

When Amanda and Caleb flew into Tampa Bay for their wedding weekend, they weren’t looking for a huge ballroom or a packed dance floor.

What they wanted was something more... intentional.

A space to breathe.

A moment to reconnect.

A way to invite God into the center of their love.

They found it.

On Friday, they arrived at a quiet beachside cottage just after noon. Caleb handed Amanda a chilled cucumber water as she stepped out of the Uber.

“This weekend is about us — and about Him,” he whispered.

They unpacked slow. Walked barefoot on the shore. That evening, their closest friends joined them for a candlelit welcome dinner, where grace was said before the first bite and laughter flowed like wine.

Saturday morning, Amanda practiced yoga overlooking the water while Caleb journaled under a palm tree, writing out prayers and promises for their marriage.

Later that day, they stood barefoot in the sand, just the two of them, holding handwritten vows.

Before they spoke, Amanda asked, “Can we pray first?”

They bowed their heads as the waves lapped at their feet.

“God, thank You for this love.

For bringing us through.

For guiding our hearts back to You — and to each other.”

Their vows followed, spoken in the golden glow of a Gulf sunset.

Amanda smiled through tears.

“You still make me feel like I’m 19 and meeting you all over again.”

Caleb took her hands.

“And you still remind me what peace feels like.”

There were no rows of chairs. No DJ booths. No distractions.

Just stillness. Presence. And a joy that felt sacred.

Across Tampa Bay — including serene corners like East Pasco — more and more couples are planning destination-style weekends that blend wellness, romance, and faith. Some live locally, but many are flying in from out of state to exchange vows on our quiet beaches or in peaceful garden settings.

They're searching for:

  • Weekend wedding celebrations in Florida
  • Private vow exchanges in Tampa Bay
  • Faith-centered elopements with a personal touch

And they’re not looking for cookie-cutter ceremonies. They want something intentional — and unforgettable.

While I haven’t yet officiated a full wellness wedding weekend, the heart behind it speaks deeply to what I already provide:

  • Custom vow writing rooted in your story and your faith
  • Personalized unity ceremonies
  • Peaceful officiating with warmth and care
  • Optional prayer, Scripture, and spiritual reflection woven in

If you’re longing for a ceremony that reflects your values — not just a venue — this kind of experience may be exactly what your soul needs.

Amanda and Caleb didn’t want more noise. They wanted more meaning.

They wanted to slow down.

To breathe.

To pray.

To speak vows that honored both their journey and their faith.

If that’s what your heart is whispering too…

Then maybe this kind of weekend isn’t just possible — it’s exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
